Join the Peanuts gang at Camp Snoopy
Are you a fan of Snoopy and the rest of the gang from the Peanuts comics? Then you’ll be delighted to find out that Carowinds has a section called Camp Snoopy. And it’s perfect for small kids. Two years ago, the park expanded Camp Snoopy and it became more awesome than ever. They added six exciting new rides, namely, Camp Bus, Kite-Eating Tree, Mud Buggies, Peanuts Trailblazers, and Mud Buggies. All of the new rides are very impressive and certified to be kid-approved.
Another new feature of Camp Snoopy is a huge playground called the Beagle Scout Acres. It has separate play areas for small and big kids. The play area for small kids is surrounded by a fence for added security. For sure, your kids will love Beagle Scout Acres.
Parents will love the fact that all of the rides are located in just one part of the park and are not spread out. You can also find a Family Care Center inside Snoopy Camp. It has nursing areas, diaper changing stations, and family-friendly restrooms. Taking your kids to the Peanuts Camp is a good way to introduce them to the classic comic characters.
Exciting ride for the big kids
One of the best things about Carowinds is that it’s not only for small kids. It offers plenty of attractions for big kids as well. And yes, even parents will have fun in this place. If you love roller coasters, then you’ll love being at Carowinds because it has several of them and they are spread out all over the park. And you’ll find that some of them are actually quite challenging. And if you’re one of those people who don’t have the patience to wait in line, then you can avail yourself of a Fast Pass for an additional fee.
Shows for your viewing pleasure
If you’re not the type who likes rides, then you can just watch the different family-friendly shows and entertainment that Carowinds has to offer. At Camp Snoopy, for example, you can join the Peanuts Dance Party. It’s a great way for you and your kids to bond with each other as you dance like crazy together with Snoopy and the gang. Or you can choose to watch a show while munching on some delicious food. Let performers entertain you as you eat a meal inside Harmony Hall. The air-conditioned restaurant is also the perfect resting place if the heat outside becomes unbearable.
You won’t get hungry
And speaking of food, Carowinds offers plenty of dining options. They have Chick-Fil-A if you’re craving their yummy chicken sandwich. Or maybe you want some oriental food. The park has you covered because there’s also a Panda Express inside. There are other restaurants for you to try if you want to try something different. You can even opt to dine outside if you want. There are also many excellent restaurants outside the theme park. You can even choose to have a picnic if you want. Just make sure to get a re-entry stamp so you can go inside again when you’re done eating.
It has a newly opened waterpark
Another exciting addition to Carowinds is the Carolina Harbor Waterpark. And it transforms the theme park into a complete family entertainment destination. Now Carowinds really has everything. Going to a waterpark is one of the best things to do during summer. Nothing beats getting wet as you go down a giant slide while the sun is up. And the best thing about Carolina Harbor is that there is a dedicated section for kids. But if you’re looking for thrilling slides, then the waterpark has those as well. Because like the rest of Carowinds, Carolina Harbor is family-friendly.
